"the green fuse that drives the flowers", a backyard wonderland, Gratitude, lush landscapes, Nature, oak trees, photography, plum trees, springtime, wild flowers

Spring has sprung in early abundance this year. The green fuse that Dylan Thomas wrote about in “The force that through the green fuse drives the flower” keeps me enchanted as I explore the green wonderland behind our home.
It has exploded in pink blossoms on our plum tree, painted the oak trees with mosses, covered them with the rich pollen-full blossoms, created rivers of tall grasses to wade through, stirred wild flowers into riotous bloom, created soft green beds for deer to dream in. Lush landscapes for my eye and feet to roam and know how blessed I am.

When Things Go Missing
“When Things Go Missing is a satisfying blend of subtle mystery, artistic reflection, and emotional resonance. It’s a novel that lingers after you close it, not because of dramatic twists, but because of the vivid imagery, human depth, and quiet beauty Brasket brings to every page.” Ka Malana. Available on Amazon, Amazon UK, Amazon AUS, Bookshop, Barnes & Noble.

Where is you neck of the woods, Mark? Mine is the Central Coast of CA.

I’m near Sacramento. I thought you had mentioned the Central Coast before. Just so many images in this post that could have been taken in areas around here.

Yes, I imagine it’s pretty green up there too. I didn’t know you were in California.

Lived in the Sacramento area for 60 years now. I desperately would like to live somewhere else … just to have the experience of living somewhere else.

Just the gorgeous visual break I needed…as I look past my monitor and see snowflakes, nestling atop grass that only a few days ago delighted us with pops of green. Your pics did the trick! Thank you, Deb! 💝

I’m glad this gave you an early springtime break. But you know, watching snowflakes fall and jack frost on the windows is something that sounds so lovely too.

Wow, what a beautiful spring! Here in the Granite State, we still have snow but it’s melting. More or less. 😉

You are so welcome, Ana! Hope you are enjoying this spring weather up in Sacro too. We are supposed to be getting a heatwave here–in the 90’s, they say!

While I love all seasons, there is something special about the green of spring, isn’t there?

There is, Laurie! Sadly it’s starting to fade a bit with this heat wave we’ve been having lately, that brought on the early spring and now drying it out.
